Press Releases

Welcome to the first edition of the ADA newsletter, albeit a relatively short one!

As the months go by, we will make the newsletter a regular feature and we will have a separate edition for ADA members.

In the News

ADA issued its first press release earlier this month and you may view it at:

http://i-newswire.com/pr19937.html  or on this website, here

In the Offing

We will very shortly be announcing full details of our first full series of courses. Each ‘full series’ will contain the entire range of our courses, from ‘Graduate Driver’ and ‘Apprehensive Driver’, through ‘Bronze’ to the two advanced levels: ‘Silver’ and ‘Gold’. This first full series will take place in California, during the second half of July, and will be followed by similar events in three other states (details soon).

To maintain a degree of flexibility, however, each series can be modified to have more or less of each particular type of course — to allow for variations in demand — and it is therefore very much a case of ‘first come, first served’ so check out the choices and book now if you want a place!

We will also shortly also be announcing the names of our first two honorary fellows.  It has been decided that each year ADA will elect two new hon. fellows in the USA, together with some individuals from Canada or beyond.  The selected people do not need to be expert drivers — though on occasion they might be. Instead the key criterion will be their long-term track record, either in driver safety or in road safety in general.

In addition, Gold Advanced members who can demonstrate a degree of long-term commitment to advanced driving or safer driving in general will have the option of becoming fellows of ADA (as opposed to honorary fellows).

Any person in either of these two categories will be entitled to use the letters ‘Hon. FADA’ or simply ‘FADA’ after his or her name, as appropriate.

Benefits of Membership

Naturally, we expect the number and scope of benefits to grow as time goes by, but currently or in the near future ADA will provide the following:

·     --  Individual recognitions for a full range of enhanced driving standards;

·     --  Certificates of achievement for framing and display

·     --  Purchasing benefits;

·     --  Direct access to the latest safety news, via selected articles from the Drive and Stay

          Alive ‘International Road Safety News’ section — provider of the world’s most

          comprehensive information service on this topic;

·     --  Effectively a direct line of communication with some of the top safety experts on the North

          American continent, through ADA’s two directors — both of whom already work in close

          co-operation with such people;

·     --  Groups of enthusiastic drivers in one city or region may join as a group, and apart from

          getting significant discounts on the cost of individual membership they can also take

          advantage of ADA’s “We Will Come To You” courses and testing;

·     --  ADA is now negotiating deals that will finalize our planned ‘Platinum Advanced’ and

          ‘World Advanced’ awards, the likes of which have never been seen before and which will

           provide a remarkable achievement for the very best drivers from around the world.

           Are you one of them? You could be!

·     --  As ADA grows, we will progressively become the recognized voice of responsible

          drivers. Unlike certain other organizations, we will not be championing the cause of those

          individuals who have been caught breaking the law and who now wish to avoid paying a fine,

          or anything like that. ADA represents those drivers who wish to utilize superb driving skills,

          not only for personal satisfaction but also for the sake of every person around them, in terms

          of greatly enhanced safety.
