Continental's "Safely There" Campaign is On Tour

And the Integrated Media Productions Company, Cramer, Wins MIMC Award For Outstanding Innovation

March 18, 2004

Continental Teves, a unit of Continental AG and a leading supplier of automotive safety technologies, partnered with Cramer, a leading integrated media productions company, for its U.S. "Safely There" mobile exhibit and marketing campaign -- an initiative to build consumer awareness for electronic stability control.

Continental's custom designed tractor-trailer is traveling throughout the U.S. to better educate consumers, particularly women, about onboard safety systems available in vehicles. The trailer has interactive educational kiosks and the same type of 3D computer graphic technology used in contemporary video games, to make the driving simulations as realistic and exciting as possible. The driving simulations also incorporate force feedback to better illustrate to consumers the positive effects of Continental's safety technology. This includes tension and vibration in the steering wheel, as well as the rapid pulsing sensation in the brake pedal felt when anti-lock brakes are working.

"Among all the features touted in the automotive industry, safety is our priority," says Bill Kozyra, president and CEO, Continental Teves, Inc.

"To have the opportunity to help Continental better educate consumers on ways to make their vehicles safer is wonderful," says Tom Martin, founder and chief executive officer at Cramer. "Moreover, being able to unleash our creative forces and leverage such fantastic technology to help deliver the message makes it even better."

Cramer was selected a winner for their work on Continental's "Safely There" campaign in the category of manufacturing vertical for the 2003 MIMC Awards. The annual MIMC Awards is the largest awards competition in the country that recognizes achievements in the development and implementation of interactive technologies and applications. Winners were announced in 28 categories, including four "Best of" awards, at an awards ceremony attended by nearly 1,000 industry professionals held in October 2003 at the Boston Copley Place Marriott.
