A consistently good performance from the off ensured that he finished every first leg stage in the top
four and was a rally title contender starting Day Two lying second overall. Four stage wins on Saturday plus an
"off" by erstwhile rally leader Marko Martin, took the Flying Frenchman to the top spot where he stayed, finishing the rally with a decisive 46.4 second lead over nearest rival Marcus
Gronholm. "It's very nice" enthused Sébastien, "It was important for me to prove I can win rallies away from tarmac - driving on the Swedish snow is more like gravel, so I've done that here".
