Global Road Safety Partnership The GRSP knowledge base summarizes key information for policy makers and practitioners about road safety to assist them in the development of effective road safety interventions which can reduce road crashes and minimize the adverse impacts these crashes have on social and economic development, health services, law enforcement and transport systems.
Institute for Traffic Care (ITC) The ITC sets the goal of collecting existing and future traffic safety expertise by making use of (police) networks available to it, to achieve a structural development and implementation of traffic safety activities, with the end result of bringing about a positive behavioural influence of road traffic users.
International Commission for Driver Testing (CIECA) CIECA is the international commission for driver testing authorities, active in the fields of road safety and driver testing. It has member organisations from 31 countries worldwide. CIECA aims to play a leading role in enhancing road safety and to encourage the development of high, common standards for driving licences throughout its member countries. Since 1993, CIECA has become a leading project partner of the European Commission's Energy and Transport Directorate, issuing "best practice" recommendations for driving qualifications for the EU and beyond.
International Co-operation on Theories and Concepts in Traffic Safety (ICTCT)
International Road Safety Academy (IRSA) The Institute for Traffic Care (see above) has taken the initiative to establish an International Road Safety Academy with regional offices. The Institute has asked a number of international outstanding organizations, road policing and road safety experts to join this initiative and to deliver their expertise to save lifes on the worlds’ roads and in developing countries in particular.

The Highways Agency is an executive agency of the Department for Transport. It manages, maintains and improves the network of trunk roads and motorways in England on behalf of the Secretary of State. It works closely with other transport operators and with local authorities to integrate the trunk road network with the rest of England's roads and other forms of travel. Amongst other things, visitors to the Agency's website can now get real-time traffic information from the National Traffic Control Centre. Neighbourhood Road Safety Initiative (NRSI) Every year over 130 children die and more than 4,500 are seriously injured while walking or cycling on the country's roads and by 2010 the government aim to reduce the number of child road casualties by 50%. The Neighbourhood Road Safety Initiative (NRSI) has been set up to find fresh and innovative ways to reduce road casualties, particularly those involving children. Fifteen local authorities participate in this initiative.
